Cleveland, OH - U.S. Senate Candidate Mike Gibbons has released the following statement on President Biden’s ban on Russian oil imports:

“Tougher sanctions need to go hand-in-hand with expanded American energy production. Putin's oil exports have been financing Russia's military for years, and Joe Biden's decision to shut down Keystone XL on his first day in office only made Putin's war machine richer. I support sanctions on Russian oil exports, but we need to make America energy independent again."
