ICYMI: Mike Gibbons calls J.D. Vance Trump apostate in new Ohio Senate ad

December 1, 2021

Cleveland, OH - ICYMI: The Washington Examiner is out with a new piece highlighting the latest ad from U.S. Senate Candidate Mike Gibbons. The ad, titled “Safer and Stronger,” is the first contrast advertisement of the Ohio Senate Republican Primary and the sixth ad released by the Gibbons campaign.

The ad highlights candidate JD Vance’s comments attacking President Donald Trump, where Vance called Trump an “idiot” and “reprehensible.” The ad also calls attention to a video of Vance stating he is a “never Trump guy” and would “vote for Hillary Clinton.”

WATCH: "Safer and Stronger"

Mike Gibbons has been a staunch defender of President Trump’s America First agenda that made our country safer, stronger and more prosperous than ever before. As Ohio’s next U.S. Senator, Mike Gibbons will stand up to radical Democrats who want to fundamentally transform our country and put Americans last.

“Ohioans are tired of RINOs who are willing to say anything to get elected. JD Vance is a Never Trump Ivy League elitist who made it clear in his own words that he believes he is superior to the majority of Ohio voters who twice backed President Trump. Mike Gibbons will always put Ohio and America first as Senator,” Gibbons for Ohio spokeswoman Samantha Cotten stated.

The spot will hit airwaves statewide on cable and broadcast television in Ohio tomorrow. The latest buy of nearly $550,000 is part of a larger $10 million dollar ad buy, which will keep the Gibbons campaign on air through the May 3rd Primary.

Mike Gibbons is a businessman from Cleveland and served as President Trump’s Ohio Finance Co-Chair and is a leading candidate in the Ohio U.S. Senate Primary.
