Mike Gibbons Statement on Senate Passage

of the $1.2 Trillion Infrastructure Deal

Cleveland, OH - U.S. Senate candidate Mike Gibbons has released the following statement regarding the Senate passage of the infrastructure legislation: 

“It is disappointing to see so many Republicans waste taxpayer dollars without concern. We expect this from Democrats, but it’s clear career politicians, regardless of party, are more interested in cutting backroom deals than addressing our debt. I am in favor of hard infrastructure- roads, bridges, broadband coverage- but there has to be a way to pay for it, which is missing from this legislation. This bill also sets the stage for Democrats to further their “woke” agenda. We cannot continue to saddle our future generations with insurmountable debt to score political points.”
